Officer of the Day Schedule (Issue 3, June 22nd 2010)

2010 – 2^nd  Series Events

(01-05-2010 to 21-08-2010)

The schedule has been derived from the ‘order of merit’ of the previous series, (with some serious massaging to allocate RM OoD duties to those members who do not sail RMs, thus maximising their participation in the IOM class).

The IOM fleet now often numbers around fifteen, which gives OoDs a serious problem in judging multiple close-finishes and simultaneously trying to record results on the score sheet. It has become obvious that OoDs need an assistant in these circumstances. So the schedule shows both an OoD and a Scorer for IOM events.

There will be two Design Class trophies - one for IOMs and one for RMs -comprising ten IOM events and seven RM events. The IOM Trophy winner will be decided by an individual’s best seven event scores, out of the ten scheduled. The RM Trophy winner will be decided by an individual’s best five event scores, out of the seven scheduled.

Event scores in each Design Class will be proportional to the number entered on the day.

OoDs and Scorers are asked to contact Tom Wilkinson a.s.a.p. if they are unable to serve on their designated date or if there is a change to their circumstances making previously agreed dates unsuitable.
