Welcome to the website home of Norwich Model Yacht Club

The club sails from Whitlingham Visitor Centre  on Whitlingham Great Broad in Trowse on the south side of Norwich in East Anglia.

The main classes sailed  at the club are the IOM (International One Metre) and the Radio Marblehead.

We meet on Thursday and Saturday mornings all year round starting at 10am, and our sailing programme can be found by clicking the programme link.

There is an excellent on-site café for drinks, snacks and meals, the website is www.cafecafe.biz

Thursdays are generally informal racing and Saturdays are official race days.  Official race days normally consist of 8 races on a Saturday morning with a break half way through for coffee.

The year's racing is split into three consecutive series, each of 17 weeks duration. IOMs are raced on ten Saturdays in each series and Radio Marbleheads are raced on the other seven Saturdays. Click here or go to the Programme page to see the current series race schedule.

We are affiliated  with the Model Yachting Association and our members gain the benefits of this.

We currently have a membership of about 30 members  including a fleet of 12 Radio Marbleheads.

Our members range from beginners to sailors who have raced model boats for many years. New members are always welcome no matter what level of experience you have.

We hope you enjoy our new site and please don't hesitate to get in contact if you need any further information on Norwich Model Yacht Club by emailing info@norwichmodelyachtclub.co.uk
